SafeVolt Solutions provides a range of electrical services including, but not limited to:

All services are performed by qualified, licensed electricians in compliance with current UK electrical safety regulations, including BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).

4. Quote and Booking Process

4.1 Quotes and Estimates

  • All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue
  • Quotes are estimates based on the information provided and may be subject to change upon inspection
  • A final quote will be confirmed before work commences
  • Emergency call-out services may incur additional charges as outlined in the quote

4.2 Booking Confirmation

  • Services must be booked in advance (except emergency services)
  • You will receive a confirmation email or SMS with appointment details
  • A deposit may be required for larger projects (typically 25-50% of the total quote)
  • Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Bank transfer (BACS)
  • Credit/Debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
  • Cash payments
  • Business account payments (for commercial clients)

5.2 Payment Schedule

  • Small Jobs (under £500): Payment due upon completion
  • Medium Projects (£500-£5,000): 25-50% deposit, balance due upon completion
  • Large Projects (over £5,000): Staged payment schedule to be agreed in writing
  • Commercial Clients: Net 30 days payment terms (subject to credit approval)

5.3 Late Payment

Late payments may incur interest charges at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling

6.1 Customer Cancellations

  • More than 48 hours notice: Full refund of any deposit (if work has not commenced)
  • 24-48 hours notice: 50% cancellation fee may apply
  • Less than 24 hours notice: Full cancellation fee (deposit forfeited)
  • No-show: Full cancellation fee plus any call-out charges

6.2 Rescheduling

  • One free reschedule permitted with 48+ hours notice
  • Additional rescheduling may incur an administrative fee
  • Subject to availability

6.3 SafeVolt Solutions Cancellations

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to:

  • Emergency situations
  • Staff illness or unavailability
  • Severe weather conditions
  • Unforeseen circumstances beyond our control

In such cases, we will provide as much notice as possible and arrange an alternative appointment at no additional cost.

7. Customer Obligations

When engaging our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about the work required
  • Ensure safe and clear access to work areas
  • Provide access to electricity and water if required
  • Inform us of any known hazards or special conditions
  • Be present or designate a representative during the work
  • Remove valuable or fragile items from work areas
  • Secure pets during our visit for safety
  • Provide parking facilities or reimburse parking costs if applicable
  • Ensure you have authority to authorize work on the property

8. Warranty and Guarantees

8.1 Workmanship Guarantee

  • All work is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion
  • We will return to fix any defects in workmanship free of charge
  • Guarantee covers labor only (parts covered by manufacturer warranty)
  • Guarantee void if work is modified by another contractor without our consent

8.2 Parts and Materials

  • We use high-quality materials from reputable suppliers
  • Parts carry manufacturer warranties (typically 1-5 years)
  • We will assist with manufacturer warranty claims
  • Customer-supplied materials are not covered by our guarantee

8.3 Exclusions

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or accidents
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Acts of God (flooding, lightning strikes, etc.)
  • Modifications or repairs by others
  • Failure to follow maintenance recommendations

9. Liability and Insurance

9.1 Insurance Coverage

SafeVolt Solutions maintains comprehensive insurance coverage including:

  • Public Liability Insurance (£5 million)
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance (£2 million)
  • Employer's Liability Insurance (as required by law)

9.2 Limitation of Liability

While we take every precaution to provide safe and professional services:

  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service
  • We are not liable for consequential or indirect losses
  • We are not responsible for existing electrical faults unless explicitly agreed in writing
  • Claims must be reported within 30 days of discovery

9.3 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, or industrial action.

10. Health and Safety

SafeVolt Solutions is committed to maintaining the highest health and safety standards:

  • All electricians hold relevant qualifications and certifications
  • We comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
  • Risk assessments are conducted for all jobs
  • We use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Work areas are left clean and tidy upon completion

  • All work meets BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations standards

11. Electrical Certificates and Compliance

Where applicable, we provide:

  • Periodic Inspection Reports (EICR)
  • Part P Building Regulations compliance certificates
  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) certificates

All certificates are issued in accordance with BS 7671 and are registered with relevant competent person schemes where required.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on the SafeVolt Solutions website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of SafeVolt Solutions or its content suppliers and is protected by UK and international copyright laws.

17. Subcontracting

We reserve the right to subcontract any work to qualified third-party specialists where necessary. All subcontractors:

  • Are subject to the same terms and obligations

SafeVolt Solutions remains fully responsible for all subcontracted work.

18. Variations and Additional Work

If additional work is required beyond the original scope:

19. Materials and Equipment

20. Emergency Services

Our 24/7 emergency electrical service is subject to:

  • Call-out fees as specified in our price list
  • Minimum charge may apply (typically 1 hour)
  • Premium rates for evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Priority given to life-threatening situations
  • Response times may vary depending on location and availability
  • Payment typically required upon completion of emergency work

21. Testimonials and Reviews

By submitting a review, testimonial, or feedback:

  • You grant us permission to use it in our marketing materials
  • We may edit for length or clarity while maintaining accuracy
  • You confirm the content is truthful and your own work
  • We reserve the right to remove inappropriate or false reviews

22. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.

23. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any written quotation or service agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and SafeVolt Solutions and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations.

24. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of SafeVolt Solutions.
